Derick has also published articles on different aspects of the law including family law, criminal law, civil procedure, constitutional law and equity& succession. Some of his articles are published on Ghana Law Hub, Dennis Law and Academia.edu

He is a member of the Ghana Association of Writers and also the Legal advisor to to the same institution, an Assistant Law Reporter for Ghana Law Reports, a former research assistant for Ghana Monthly Judgments (Law Report of the Superior Courts of Ghana) and he is currently one of the Chief-Editors of the Supreme Court Nuggets (2020) and (2021) editions, a DennisLaw Publication.
